Shalini Sivathasan, Ph.D.

Shalini completed her doctoral degree in School/Applied Child Psychology at McGill University, and her pre-doctoral clinical internship in Health Service Psychology at the Marcus Autism Center (Emory University) & Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Shalini’s research interests center around co-occurring mental health challenges and socio-emotional learning differences among autistic and neurodivergent youth. As a postdoctoral scholar in the REAACT lab, Shalini is interested in investigating the impact of multiple minority identities on emotion regulation, mental health outcomes, and access to care. Outside of work, Shalini enjoys exploring Pittsburgh’s vegetarian restaurants and spending time with her rescue pup.
