EASE for ALL

Principal Investigators: Dr. Kelly Beck, PhD, Dr. Carla Mazefsky, PhD

The EASE for All project aimed to gather opinions from people in the autism community. We learned about autistic people’s experiences in two areas: (1) emotion regulation and (2) mental health service needs and barriers to help emotion regulation. We interviewed four groups of people:

  • Autistic adults
  • Parents of adolescents and autistic adults with high support needs
  • Autistic adolescents
  • Community mental health professionals working with autistic adolescents and adults

The information we learned is helping us better understand the service needs of autistic people and their families. We are also using this information to prepare our Emotion Awareness and Skills Enhancement (EASE) Program to be available in community mental health clinics.
